The hosts were asked to bat first in Canberra and they started well thanks to Beth Mooney's quick 44 off just 31 balls. Tahlia McGrath and Grace Harris played unbeaten knocks to take the score to 185 runs.

After a goalless first quarter, Korea struck just 36 seconds into the second quarter with Jungjun Lee finding the net due to a mistake from Pakistan goalkeeper Abdullah Ishtiyaq Khan. The goal remained the difference between the two teams till the half-time.

In response, England started well but rain interrupted the match and despite Heather Knight's quick 43 off just 19 balls, the tourists conceded another defeat in the ongoing Women's Ashes series. They lost the match by six runs (DLS method).
